小女孩的夢想是擁有一台鋼琴。
小女孩的爸爸，事業正處於開始階段，心中想著等有一天賺錢了，便㑹給小女孩買一台鋼琴。
幾年後小女孩的爸爸賺錢了，爸爸買了房子，娶了新太太，幫自己及太太各買了一部車。
但是沒有鋼琴。
有一天，有位親戚知道了女孩的夢想，便送了女孩一台書桌大小的小鋼琴。
女孩非常激動開心，這台鋼琴是她的寶貝。
三年後有一天，爸爸説要搬家，全家人搬到離市區更遠，空間更小的房子。
爸爸的太太對女孩説，新家沒地方放妳的小鋼琴。
女孩看到小鋼琴跟其他雜物一起，被堆放在外面樓梯間，很心痛。
然後她默默的回到家中。
她再也沒有去看那台鋼琴。
二年後她離開爸爸的家，自己在外獨立生活。
她從沒有為自己買過任何一台鋼琴。
