「上海之光」是描述追求現代化的上海，正處於繁榮與消逝同時並存的時代，「進步」是人無止盡的追求，然而在追求”新”的同時，”舊”是否只能被全盤的丟棄？才是所謂更文明更好的新生活？
"Shanghai Light" depicts a city that pursues modernization in an age when prosperity and disappearance coexist. Men endlessly pursue “progress.” In the pursuit of "the new," however, does this mean that "the old" must be completely abandoned for the sake of building a more "civilized" and "better" life?
